What is the OBDSTAR P50?

The OBDSTAR P50 is the latest generation of intelligent airbag reset tools developed by OBDSTAR Technology Co., Ltd. Designed for automotive professionals, the P50 offers powerful features and extensive compatibility, supporting 38 vehicle brands and over 3,000 ECU part numbers, including various MCU types.

Built on the RK3128 Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A7 processor, the device ensures high-speed performance and seamless user experience. It features a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, providing precise touch response and optimal ergonomics.

If you already own the OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus or OdoMaster, you can purchase the dedicated airbag reset kit to achieve the same SRS coverage as the P50.

Features and Compatibility

Q: Where can I find the list of supported functions for a product?
A: You can download the list of compatible models for each module from the “Function Manual” available on the official website of the manufacturer Obstar.
Updates are generally synchronized at the end of each month.

Q: Does the device support IMMO, cluster calibration, and airbag reset functions?
A: The IMMO function is not supported. The cluster calibration function is available as a paid option.

Q: Does the Key Master DP Plus support the airbag reset function?
A: Yes, only the C version of the Key Master DP Plus supports this function. The A version does not.

Q: Are additional accessories required to use the airbag reset function with the Key Master DP Plus C?
A: Yes, this function requires the P004 adapter and the P004 jumper cable, sold separately.

Q: Does the P50 model support multiple languages?
A: Currently, only English is available.

Subscription and Pricing

Q: Is there an annual subscription fee?
A: Yes, the annual subscription costs €199 (excl. VAT) for the P50 STD version, and €399 (excl. VAT) for the P50 FULL version.

Q: Is a subscription required after purchase?
A: According to our current policy, updates are free for one year from the date of product registration. Starting from the second year, an annual subscription is required.

Connectivity and Components

Q: What is the purpose of the red switch on the P004?
A: The red switch controls the termination resistor for CAN communication.

• Switch #1 is used for high-speed CAN communication.

• Switch #2 is used for low-speed CAN communication.
  The switch must remain in the ON position when the termination resistor is required.

Q: The P004 has two groups of CAN H and CAN L pins. Can I use either one?
A: No. The two groups correspond to different CAN communication types (high-speed and low-speed).
It is essential to use the correct pins according to the device’s wiring diagram.
