Each programme is based exclusively on Keyfirst-referenced equipment: Xhorse™, OBDSTAR™, Keydiy™, Xtool™, Autel™ and Silca™.

Training sessions are held in small groups of 1 to 6 participants, at our premises in Romans-sur-Isère (France) or on-site depending on the case, for a variable duration of 3 to 6 hours depending on the level. A training certificate is issued at the end of each session after skills assessment. Keyfirst is a QUALIOPI-certified training organisation, a mark of pedagogical quality recognised by the French State. English-speaking support is available Monday to Saturday for UK and international participants. Programme 1 : Initial automotive key reproduction training

The initial training Programme 1 is the ideal entry point for any professional starting in automotive key reproduction. This first programme covers the basics of transponder cloning and identification of the different types of automotive chips and keys: simple keys, fixed or rolling cloning transponders, remote start keys. Participants learn to use the basic cloning tools from the Xhorse™ and Keydiy™ range, identify references and choose the right tool for each situation.

Programme 2 : Intermediate training : multifunction remotes

The intermediate training Programme 2 is the logical follow-up after mastering the basics. It focuses on generating and programming universal multifunction remotes using Xhorse™ and Keydiy™ tools. Participants learn to generate remotes for different vehicle brands, code frequencies and communication protocols, and use the software and mobile apps associated with the equipment to quickly identify the right solution for each vehicle.

Programme 3 : Advanced training : on-vehicle key programming

The advanced training Programme 3 is the expert level of the Keyfirst Academy range. It covers programming keys and remotes directly on the vehicle via the OBD2 port, using professional tablets: Xhorse™ (VVDI Key Tool Plus, Dolphin XP005), OBDSTAR™ (Key Master G3), Xtool™ (XPAD 3 Elite) and Autel™. Participants learn to master full IMMO procedures: reading vehicle data, programming new keys, deleting lost keys, managing recent IMMO systems (CAN, DoIP, IMMO6). This is the reference training for professionals who want to work on the most recent vehicles and generate high-value-added interventions.

Lishi training : lock opening and automotive key programming

Keyfirst also offers two specialist training courses on official Lishi™ tools. The Lishi Level 1 Beginner training is designed for professionals wanting to master non-destructive automotive lock opening with Lishi™ pick-and-decoders. This first level covers tool handling, groove reading, decoding lost keys and non-destructive opening procedures on the most common models in the European fleet.

The Combined 2-day Lishi and Advanced Programming training is the most comprehensive programme in the Keyfirst Academy catalogue: it combines Lishi™ tool mastery (opening and decoding) with advanced programming techniques on professional tablets. Over two full days in Romans-sur-Isère, participants cover the entire scope of an expert automotive locksmith: from opening the lock to programming the new key, including decoding and cutting. The ideal training for professionals who want to offer the full intervention chain.

Do I need to own my own equipment to attend training?
No. Keyfirst provides all necessary equipment during training sessions from its own demonstration stock. Participants who already own Keyfirst tools may bring them to work directly on their own equipment. As training is based exclusively on Keyfirst-referenced equipment, tools from other sources are not used during sessions.

Can training be funded via a competence operator or CPF?
Keyfirst is QUALIOPI-certified, which opens the possibility of funding by OPCO (Competence Operators) for employed or self-employed professionals affiliated in France. CPF (Personal Training Account) funding depends on the eligibility of the specific programme. In what order should Programmes 1, 2 and 3 be followed?
Programmes 1, 2 and 3 are designed as a logical progression. Programme 1 (Initial) is recommended for any professional new to automotive key reproduction, with no prerequisites. Programme 2 (Intermediate) requires the basics from Programme 1 or equivalent field experience. Programme 3 (Advanced) is for professionals who already master the basics and want to develop skills on OBD tablets and advanced IMMO procedures. Lishi training courses are independent of Programmes 1, 2 and 3 and can be taken in parallel.

Are training courses available on-site, outside Romans-sur-Isère?
Yes. Some training courses can be organised on-site, subject to the conditions defined in the Keyfirst general terms and conditions of service.
