Each advanced operation, such as cloning an ID48 chip on VAG vehicles or programming a Mercedes-Benz™ infrared key, consumes one or more tokens depending on the type of intervention. This architecture allows tool manufacturers to differentiate access levels and offer targeted licences to match the professional's activity profile.

Xhorse™ ID48 tokens: cloning VAG and compatible chips

Xhorse™ ID48 tokens are the essential credits for cloning ID48 transponder chips using Xhorse™ VVDI tools (Key Tool Plus, Key Tool Max Pro, Mini Key Tool). The ID48 chip is one of the most common transponders in the European market: Volkswagen™, Audi™, Seat™, Skoda™, Porsche™ post-1997, as well as many other manufacturers that adopted this technology. Without an active ID48 token, the VVDI tool cannot execute the ID48 cloning procedure, even with an up-to-date software.

ID48 tokens are available in three formats at Keyfirst to suit all activity volumes. The single Xhorse™ ID48 token (ID48-1) is for occasional interventions. The pack of 10 ID48 tokens (ID48-10) suits workshops with a regular volume of VAG interventions. The pack of 20 ID48 tokens (ID48-20) is the most economical option for high-volume workshops, with a lower unit cost per token and a larger stock without frequent restocking.

Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ tokens: infrared and BGA key programming

Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ tokens are the specific credits required to programme Mercedes-Benz™ keys using the Xhorse™ VVDI MB Tool module. VVDI MB Tool key programming covers Mercedes-Benz™ vehicles from 1993 to 2023, including infrared keys, BGA keys and start keys. Each MB key programming operation consumes one Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ token.

Two options are available at Keyfirst. The Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ unlimited tokens 1 year (XDMBTKEN) give unlimited access to MB operations for 12 months, ideal for workshops with a regular volume of Mercedes-Benz™ vehicles. The single Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ token (XDMBTKEN1) is the solution for occasional Mercedes-Benz™ interventions without an annual commitment.

Xhorse™ BMW™ motorcycle activation: VVDI2 and Key Tool Plus key programming

The Xhorse™ BMW™ motorcycle key programming activation (XH-LOG01) is the one-time activation token that unlocks the IMMO key programming function for BMW™ motorcycles on VVDI2 and Key Tool Plus tools. BMW™ motorcycles use a specific key and IMMO system technology different from standard car models. Without this activation, the VVDI2 or Key Tool Plus cannot perform IMMO programming procedures on BMW™ Motorrad™ models. It is a permanent, one-time activation per tool.

Xtool™ tokens and activations

Xtool™ tokens and activations at Keyfirst cover the advanced functions of Xtool™ tablets. The Password XPAD Elite 3 VAG is the specific activation that unlocks PIN code reading and advanced IMMO programming functions on VAG group vehicles (Volkswagen™, Audi™, Seat™, Skoda™) with the XPAD 3 Elite tablet. This activation is complementary to the tablet itself and required to handle the most advanced VAG procedures on recent vehicles.

How do Xhorse™ tokens work?

Xhorse™ tokens are linked to the VVDI account associated with the tool. They are activated via the Xhorse VVDI mobile app or directly from the tool interface during the procedure. Each token type is dedicated to a family of operations: ID48 tokens only cover ID48 chip operations, Mercedes-Benz™ tokens only cover MB operations. Tokens are not interchangeable between families. Token packs are activated in a single operation on the tool and remain available until consumed, with no expiry date. Only the unlimited Mercedes-Benz™ tokens for 1 year have a validity period.

Are Xhorse™ ID48 tokens compatible with all VVDI tools?
Yes. Xhorse™ ID48 tokens are compatible with all Xhorse™ VVDI tools that support ID48 cloning: VVDI Key Tool Plus, Key Tool Max Pro, VVDI Mini Key Tool and VVDI2. A single token pack covers all tools on the same VVDI account. However, ID48 tokens are not compatible with tools from other brands.

How many ID48 tokens are needed per intervention?
Each ID48 chip cloning operation consumes 1 ID48 token. For a workshop averaging 5 ID48 clonings per month, the 10-token pack covers approximately 2 months' activity, and the 20-token pack approximately 4 months. For higher activity (10 interventions per month), the 20-token pack is the most economical purchase.

Do the unlimited Mercedes-Benz™ tokens cover all MB operations?
The Xhorse™ Mercedes-Benz™ unlimited tokens for 1 year cover all MB key programming operations possible with the VVDI MB Tool module: infrared keys, BGA keys and start keys on Mercedes-Benz™ vehicles from 1993 to 2023. They do not cover operations on other brands using Mercedes-Benz™ technology (Smart™, AMG™ independent, etc.).

Is the Xhorse™ BMW™ motorcycle activation compatible with both Key Tool Plus and VVDI2?
Yes. The XH-LOG01 activation unlocks BMW™ motorcycle key programming on both the VVDI2 and the VVDI Key Tool Plus.
